New Member Orientation

The New Member Orientation course is designed to introduce new REALTOR® association members to the resources, services, and professional responsibilities available through their membership. Participants will gain an understanding of association benefits, professional standards, the REALTOR® Code of Ethics, and key policies and requirements.

As part of the orientation, we will provide the New Salesperson Module 1 – Professional Standards, which introduces new salespersons to the professional standards and ethical responsibilities expected of REALTORS®.

The course also provides an overview of association leadership, committees, educational opportunities, networking resources, and member services. By the end of the orientation, new members will have a better understanding of how to make the most of their membership while practicing real estate professionally, ethically, and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations.

At the conclusion of the orientation, new members will participate in a REALTOR® swearing-in ceremony, formally welcoming them into the REALTOR® community and recognizing their commitment to uphold the profession’s standards and Code of Ethics.
